Healthcare is a human right

And our healthcare system is in crisis

  • Advance MiCare, a single-payer, publicly funded plan that covers every Michigander with no deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, or coverage caps — because no one should skip a doctor's visit because they can't afford the bill.

  • Defend the telemedicine law I authored in 2024, which requires insurers to cover telehealth visits at the same rate as in-person care. Patients and their doctors should decide how care is delivered, not an insurance algorithm.

  • Stop insurers from forcing patients to consult a bot or a telehealth provider just to get a referral for in-person care.

  • Ban AI from making decisions about who gets covered and who doesn't.

  • Close Michigan's Black maternal and infant mortality gap through full funding of the Momnibus package and sustained investment in community-based maternal care.

  • Fix the healthcare workforce shortage through fair wages, training support, student loan forgiveness, and stronger protections against workplace violence.

  • Expand access to mental health and substance use treatment through increased state funding for community-based providers.

"Healthcare is a right, not a luxury. I’m not just talking about access—I’m passing laws to make access real and healthcare affordable so that people can get the care they need without going bankrupt."
