We shouldn't have to choose between the basics.

Housing, groceries, water, and electricity are not luxuries.

  • Protect renters from eviction without good cause and prohibit landlords from charging fees not disclosed in the lease.

  • Push for more affordable housing so that a stable home is within reach for every Michigander.

  • Eliminate medical debt for thousands of Michigan families through a medical debt relief program.

  • Cap prescription drug costs through a Prescription Drug Affordability Board so no one has to skip their medication because they can't afford it.

  • Pass a Ratepayer Bill of Rights to lower energy costs and protect ratepayers from utility abuse.

  • Automatically enroll seniors and households with children in winter and summer utility shutoff protections.

  • Protect consumers from hidden automatic renewal contracts and require written advance notice of any changes.

  • Close the Dark Stores loophole that lets big box retailers slash their property tax bills and shift the burden onto homeowners and small businesses, draining funding from local schools and services.

  • Pass a graduated income tax so that the lowest-earning Michiganders aren't paying the same rate as the wealthiest.

  • End corporate tax giveaways that rob working families of the public investments they depend on: schools, infrastructure, healthcare, and food assistance.

"Working people are footing the bill while billion-dollar corporations write themselves tax breaks. I’m fighting to flip that script and make the wealthy and well-connected finally pay their fair share."
