Meet Natalie Price

Natalie Price is running for Michigan Senate because she believes in the power of “we”—in bringing people together, finding common ground despite differences, and fighting for changes that make life better for all.

During her time in public office, she learned that government can and does work for the people when those holding office are truly a part of their communities and care about the people they serve. More importantly, she learned just how much people can accomplish in their communities when they value diversity, combine their strengths, and work together.

Grounded in the values of equity and shared responsibility, she was taught early on to speak up about inequality and advocate for people who have been historically left out. She comes from a long line of strong women who were decisive and bold when problems arose. Her mother and grandmother showed her how to lean on her community, leverage the strengths that come from different backgrounds and identities, and always look for opportunities for herself and for others when times are tough.

With their influence, Natalie achieved her dream of becoming a teacher. Unfortunately, with two small children and a husband who was a full-time medical student, Natalie found that a starting teacher’s salary could not support her family. Like so many others, Natalie found it hard to make ends meet between rent, childcare, and student loans.

Knowing that life could, and should, be better not just for her family, but for all families, led her to run for and win a seat on the Berkley City Council. Being involved in her community and seeing the everyday needs and challenges faced by her neighbors taught Natalie the importance of showing up, listening, and devising solutions that help people lead the lives they want to live.

In 2022, Natalie ran for State Representative to take her progressive values and leadership to Lansing. Once there, Natalie saw the shortcomings of our government firsthand and has dedicated herself to fighting for a government that listens to every community, invests in equity, and turns action into impact. Her vision is a Michigan where prosperity is shared, government works for the people, and communities—whether well-resourced or long overlooked—are equipped to thrive. She envisions a future where schools are strong, families are healthy, workers are respected, and decisions are driven by compassion and courage rather than corporate power or fear-based politics.

Natalie is proud to be doing work that strengthens neighborhoods and brightens our collective future, and even prouder to be working alongside so many incredible friends, neighbors, and fellow community leaders in the process.

Natalie believes in listening deeply, legislating boldly, and leading with empathy, ensuring that every Michigander, no matter their zip code, has access to opportunity, dignity, and a voice in their government. She embraces the diversity of Senate District 10 and the strength that comes from the district’s many races, cultures, and religions.

Natalie is committed to working for a future that benefits all of us. This means giving each child a safe, resource-rich environment to grow up in, making our communities intentionally inclusive and providing everyone a chance to flourish. She brings people together to solve real problems—prioritizing equity in education, healthcare, public investment, and climate action—while staying grounded in the values of fairness, accountability, and service.

Now, Natalie is running for State Senate, reaffirming her commitment to a government that shows up for people. She understands that real change happens when people organize, speak up, and take bold action in the face of injustice, and she asks you to join her.
