Reps. Natalie Price (D-Berkley), Erin Byrnes (D-Dearborn) and Betsy Coffia (D-Traverse City) proposed policies to bar Michigan’s regulated utilities from using ratepayer funds to support executive compensation, political lobbying, advertising and political spending, cap the companies’ return on equity at 8.2% and require an independent audit every five years to examine utility performance.

State Rep Natalie Price (D) was at the Royal Oak town hall Thursday along with activist groups to inform concerned residents about ICE. The theme was mutual aid networks and how to build the infrastructure to keep members of the community informed and aware.

Today, Lori is joined by Michigan State Representative Natalie Price as she details her harrowing visit to Minnesota. Price speaks about her experience witnessing the ICE occupation, what the Michigan state legislature can do to stop things here from getting that bad, and what individuals can do to help those in our communities.

For years, a top complaint at city meetings has been loud cars that interrupt public events and disrupt sleep. Soon, East Lansing may try to address the issue through a police-led education campaign.
