VOTE MAMA ENDORSES NATALIE PRICE FOR MICHIGAN HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

NEW YORK — Vote Mama, the first PAC focused solely on electing Democratic moms, today announced its endorsement of Natalie Price, candidate for Michigan House of Representatives, District 5.

“Working families deserve representatives who will listen to our concerns and advocate for real solutions - we deserve representatives like Natalie Price. As a progressive voice for residents on the Berkley City Council and a proud mama, Natalie understands that investing in our communities means building upon the strengths of our diverse districts, creating a future that benefits every one of us, and giving each child a safe, resource-rich environment to grow up in. Vote Mama is proud to endorse Natalie Price, a proven champion for working families and for her community, in her race for Michigan House of Representatives,” said Liuba Grechen Shirley, Vote Mama Founder and CEO.

“When I moved to Berkley with my husband and two kids under two, I craved support and connection. I needed a ‘village,’ but I didn’t realize that my village would need me, too. I signed up for the local parent-tot class only to learn that there was no teacher—and so I stepped up to teach. I became the Administrative Vice President of the MOMS Club when they needed someone to lead service projects. I heard of plans to build a free play space for children under five—a project that needed an organizer—and became a co-creator of the Backyard Playroom. And when a progressive candidate was needed to represent Berkley residents on City Council, I stepped up to run for office,” said Natalie Price, candidate for Michigan House of Representatives, District 5. “Now that I am running for state representative, I am thrilled to have the endorsement of Vote Mama because these mamas get it. They know what it is like to juggle the immediate demands of the feeding, bathing, and raising kiddos with the big-picture demands of our kids’ collective future. They view political action as a form of self-care. Most importantly, they understand we must stand up and speak out about the issues that matter most for the safety and wellbeing of *ALL* our children. We rise up together.”

Background: Since launching in 2019, Vote Mama has helped more than 375 Democratic moms run for office. The current slate of Vote Mama endorsed candidates is available here.
